Before I spill the beans…

THANKS SO MUCH FOR YER GREETINGS!!!!

Yesterday’s beyond words fantastic! It started with a string of really funny and sweet surprises from him that included this huge cake cookie and these really pretty flowers:

We had this VERY heavy late dinner and coffee somewhere in the South where whadyaknow I actually have a surprise party (well sort of)! Should I’ve known that we’re going out, going out I would’ve fixed myself up with this “birthday look” I’ve had in my head for weeks.

LOVE my hair the other night!

I’ve been asked quite a number of times what’s my birthday wish this year and from the original press release of just one wish, I’ve managed to come up with two more (after much probing)! Wish #1 is rather personal so I’ll just keep that to myself and whoever am sharing this wish with. Wish #2 is that I hope I can retain my waistline forever! hahaha Digits wise, it’s now equal to my age. It’s finally proportioned to my really wide hips so yeah, am totally stoked about that. ;) Wish #3 is that I hope I can look young forever (ok this is where the SwipeSomeGloss chronicles resume hahahaha). At this point, the last thing I want to hear is that I look harassed or worse, old. For three years now, I’ve been shuffling programs and skin care systems non-stop that targets both prevention and minimization of existing age spots and signs.

I’ve seen lots of blog posts about Olay’s freebee but nothing about Pond’s. Why? If your answer’s that you breakout with Pond’s products, well guess what? You’re not alone. They used to have this facial wash back in 2000 that all of my senior high classmates and I share. I love that thing to bits because it’s their only facial wash that worked for me. Aside from that, the only Pond’s product I use is their classic cold cream (I get the HUGE tub from S&R). I love how the rose water scented cream deep cleanses my face everyday without the raw feeling.

That is of course, until I SMSd 7DAYS to 2966 and met this:

It’s been a week since I met POND’S Flawless White Light Infusing Under-Eye Cream (whew) and as promised, here’s my early verdict! ;)

I compared the earlier mentioned eye cream side to side with my Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream experience and oh my! Our little tube of hope from POND’S is it’s “save” counterpart! ;) Save for the “whitening” part (which I doubt can give me results in one week’s time), I’d like to show you its moisturizing and “filling” effect though this before & after application snaps:

my eye area after a 12hour shift…without anything but eye cream

I intentionally sat near my good old fashioned tukador light to emphasize the lines around my eyes (which still, my mother does not understand why on Earth do I show photos of my icky, unmade-up self for all the world to see LOL). The top photo, as mentioned is the “before application” snap. If you look closely, you will see defined lines under my right eye. You know how moisturized skin looks like after immediately after application? Well, I skipped that step and waited for 15more minutes before taking the “after application” snap. After the elapsed time, my right under-eye area still looks supple! ;)

Another pro about this product’s its almost gel-like consistency. Yes, a cream that feels like gel, ladies! How lovely is that? I also use so little:

I use that much for both eyes. I deem that it’s totally unnecessary to apply a lot since it will just crease up my concealer. :) Oh do I use this under mineral makeup? OH YES. Save for my current dilemma of mixing up the perfect under-eye concealer shade (since am loosing my tan), this works just fine in making the concealer stay put.

So there you have it! :) I’ll post more updates in a week’s time or two. Grab your tubes and let me know if it worked for you! ;)
