DISCLAIMER:
Do not read this if you’re a brand snob (I absolutely hate brand snobs, btw).
;)

Before I went crazy at the newly renovated Embassy, I got lucky and was commissioned to be part of a photo shoot… :D

It’s already a given that I have my trusted minerals in my “quick pack.” However, I am one of those folks who will never leave the house without a plan B. In situations like this, Plan B equals bringing traditional makeup.

For shoots, I absolutely love MUFE’s Face and Body Liquid Makeup, MAC Studio Tech and MAC Face and Body Foundation. These products are absolutely photo and telegenic! I apply all of them using brushes then I set with Invisible Set Loose Powder from MAC still. While I would love to grab a couple of bottles from MUFE (MAC F&B foundation is not available here in the Philippines), I found it to be impractical as one bottles’ too plenty (and expensivo as a backup). Given this, guess what I scored for PhP 910…. ;)

moi Ever Bilena stash

The packaging’s very much like that of MAC, eh? There’s actually more packaging dupes from the same brand:

pseudo Maybelline and more pseudo MAC lipsticks

*grrrr* they even duped MAC’s LYCHEE LUXE
(and yet I got myself one hahahaha)

Anyhoo, I got their PRO Flawless Finish Foundation simply because when applied correctly and finished off with either the 2-way pressed powder-foundation or the PRO Translucent loose powder, the finish is bloody amazing! On good skin days, I used to (pre-MMU discovery) use the 2way powder (the finish on me is similar to MAC Studio Fix pressed) and it lasts the whole day (it still looks fresh after 3 oil blottings). I’ve got very sensitive skin and me not getting any adverse reactions from the items above’re always good signs. This is also good news since I found a “save” counterpart for my branded HGs. :P

I know you’re already hanging on to your seats waiting for the swatches so here they are:

I think the actual colors’re just tad lighter (I swatched it on my inner forearms that’re about MAC NC30). If you’re a fan of mixing and tweaking colors (like me), I can guarantee that you’d have an endless rack with only those four colors above. ;) For Pinays alone, I can survive using Natural and Gold! The swatch of Ivory Lite is concentrated but it’s a good base color for me since I have a LOT of finishing powders (I have a little story about my new acquisition in a bit). I almost forgot! The foundations above smell heavenly (think cold vanilla smoothies)! YUM! :D The lip glosses have fairly good staying power too but I’d personally recommend that you pair it with a lipstick for longer performance.

After my EB haulage, I stopped by Rustan’s too and checkout the samples I scored:

yumyumyum

I’ve yet to road test everything but am already loving the AHA Botanical Body Soap! It smells really clean but not soap clean and my skin feels supple and moisture film free!

Nearing 500 words already, let me leave you with two more snaps from the shoot:

Princess after massive tanning to get the “off the field” look
(she’s at least an NC20)

errr me…toying around the props and looking like errr my brother LOL
