Mini loot from The Body Shop

This loot isn’t so bad if I didn’t haul up from Shiseido (skin care as usual) last Tuesday night.

I did mention earlier that am ditching my tan, right? On my current skin tone (Monave Sandra, two shades up from Monave Canela), The Body Shop’s Lightening Touch #3 (Php 795) is my under eye area’s saving grace. I discovered this sometime 2005, a few hours before an event I’m hosting. I left my YSL Touch Éclat at home and another wand is out of budget. I was supposed to get the TBS’ pencil concealer when I chanced on this. It used to be a wand and tube and I honestly prefer that over this. This formula’s more fragrant than the original variant too such that this smells like Jovan Musk. Performance wise, it’s still the same. It’s still a highlighter that’s got “ingenious little light-diffusing particles minimize fine lines and dark shadows”. Love this magic wand pen!

After much, much begging, I finally got my eyes done by Jheng! WOOOOOOT!!!!

On with my little shopping story, I bought gray shoes! I’ve been dead lusting over these shoes for monthsssss:

I showed them to my mom and sans the price tag, I got her approval because I have too many pink shift dresses (I hope you’re not wearing black shoes with your pink threads!). I was about to cart in the Jewelry pumps when she told me that she and my dad are going to HK this December so if it can wait, maybe they can get a pair for me there. Yes mom, it can wait…or not!

On my way to BlogBank’s Wii Party last Monday, I ermmmmm found myself (I swear I didn’t know how I landed in SM Makati’s shoe department! LOL) trying out some pairs for my little fashion fix.

Quick rave before I sleep

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new Tibetan oxhorn bangle from the Bohemian Nation Trading Corp.*! I got it last Thursday night for only Php 325!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the color of my hair in that photo! I bounced the flash on my hot pink walls and that’s the color I got! I should take this photo to my colorist, no?

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the finish of ARTDECO Rich Treatment Foundation (Php 1200 at SM Makati)! I’ve been using this for two weeks now and am telling you, this is one of the best liquid foundations I’ve ever tried! Highly comparable to DiorSkin Forever Extreme Wear Flawless Makeup. It feels too light to touch after setting with finishing powder, I swear you’ll even forget you have something on your face.

Okay now for the highlight of my night!

Good friends know very well how much of an electronica junkie I am. I’ve always been interested in making my own music but I never met my perfect instrument until I tried on this Pioneer mixer at Club V two years ago. I am very blessed to be mentored by two of the country’s most influential DJs Boyet Sison and Mon Maramba (who’s already spinning in CA). I never went pro because really, I’d rather sleep at night than party. Whenever am out for a gig though, I’m always asked who’re my fave electronica artists. I can always add a couple of new artists but Chicane, Zero 7, Fatboy Slim, The Prodigy, Groove Armada never left my list. Out of those favorites, Chicane’s the only band (yes, they’re a band and not just 1 DJ) I’ve been fortunate to see thrice (last night was the third time).
