Just got home from the Olay Regenerist launch and my oh my! I wouldn’t have guessed who their latest ambassador is until tonight!
When it comes to fashion and beauty, Tweetie De Leon-Gonzalez remains on everyone’s must-watch list. She is considered one of the most successful models in Philippine history, making her debut in the modeling world at the age of 14 and soon rising to the top of her field, becoming the head of the Professional Models Association of the Philippines (PMAP). After gracing the catwalk and magazine covers for 14 years, she then decided to leave the world of modeling to pursue a new role – that of a wife and mother.
Now a mother of four, Tweetie continues to be a role model for women of all ages. Her advocacies include conservation and environmental awareness – she is currently a member volunteer in the World Wildlife Fund – and healthy living, making her a wellness icon as well. She remains involved in the fashion world as a teacher at FTV Model School Philippines and channels her creative energy in her jewelry design business, Ice Crystals, which is now carried not only in one of the country’s premier department stores, Rustan’s, but even in Paul Smith stores in London and L.A. She was also most recently recognized as one of Marie Claire’s Women of the World and made Preview’s Best Dressed list for 2008. Her intelligence, integrity and beauty ensures that she remains very much in demand for advertising campaigns and aside from her high-profile wellness campaign, she was most recently named Olay’s brand ambassador for its premium line, Regenerist.
