Product: Davines Nourishing Vegetarian Miracle Treatment

What it is: A conditioner in cream form that repairs extremely dehydrated and stressed hair. The structure of the hair appears immediately more uniform and the corneal structure well moisturized. Continuous use of the product will prevent split ends and add body and splendor to the hair. Source.

Active ingredients: Hypnea musciformis with restructuring action. Rice proteins with conditioning and restructuring action. Vitamin E with anti-oxidant action. Avocado, as an emulsifier.

Where to get it: Essensuals Toni&Guy, 3/F Crowne Plaza (ambiance is more relaxing vs. the 6750 branch)

Wallet Damage: starts at Php 1400

Overtime, I learned that you can lie to anyone but 3 persons: your dentist, your dermatologist, and your hairdresser. To be perfectly honest with you, your kind comments on this ‘do floored me. Sure, the length is rather good and the color looks apt as well. The touch-feel is also smooth, thanks to blow drying. When Essensuals Toni&Guy’s Technical Director, Paul Ashton saw me though, he said (que horror) otherwise.

The man you wouldn’t want to mess with

He checked my hair through and through: color, shape, and moisture level. Apparently, my hair isn’t just dry, it’s hell stressed (I kind of guessed this though because I’ve been dead stressed and sleepless for weeks). It’s so stressed that it’s falling (waaaaaaa)! He immediately put me through this treatment which I’m supposed to get every two weeks. For healthy hair, once a month is fine together with a routine haircut.

How the treatment goes:

Step 1: Get a “welcome” massage.
Best enjoyed after a long, hard day at work.

Step 2: Have your hair washed.

Step 3: Choose a drink (coffee, iced/hot tea, water).
Heeeheee this me tryna shoot without eye glasses

Step 4: Treatment proper

After having your hair towel dried, the treatment is combed section per section. This ensures that every single strand is covered.

Step 5: Hair wrap time

I’m glad that this treatment doesn’t require heat because my head can’t even stand 5 minutes under the summer sun. :)

Step 6: Have the plastic wrapped removed and get another massage before rinsing and blow drying.

I’m not posting a photo after treatment because it’s expected to be perfect right? Instead, here’s a snap 24 hours after the treatment without blow drying my hair:

The Swiper’s verdict: definitely a treatment worth trying and routinely getting! My hair feels smoother, the rough patches on the hair strands are gone, and there’s volume (a big plus for me who’s got very limp hair). I also got a quick tip from Paul for coloring enthusiasts: separately get base color and highlights, ideally a month apart. That way, you get to save your hair from chemicals and of course your money since you only spend on retouching the months after. ;)
