What I came home to after a long day of shopping:

MMMMM!

I love my Nine West boots too bits but I have this feeling that this really posh and super comfy (it’s only 1″ high and has full cotton lining) Wellies will be a look of the day (LOTD) staple here in SwipeSomeGloss, rain or shine!

Sweet! It even comes with its own bag!

Just my luck, it’s raining today! Perfect opportunity to break-in my Plueys!

I had to wear it with my fave jacket and bag of course! ;)

Since we’re a few weeks away from the sem and Christmas break, Plueys Manila take us places with their Destinations collection:

They have five designs from this collection that’s sure to wow the travel queen in everyone:

Argyle Crush for the Upper East Sider

Tokyo Rain for the Harajuku girl

Catstooth for Prince William’s lady

Oooh La Lace for the Macaron and cappucino addict

Each pair from this collection is tagged Php 2,299 (special online price, local shipping inclusive) while older models (like my Sublime) is only Php 2,099. They do have 2 kiddie Plueys (Php 1, 099 each) too that’s a definite must have for kids who love to play in the rain:

Too cute and posh! Can you picture yourself wearing a pair of Plueys? You should because one lucky reader who can answer the question below will win a pair of Plueys of her choice!

In 100 words or less, just answer the question:

If your Plueys could take you places,
where would you go and why?

[…] What makes me happy: lots of Vietnamese food What makes me extra happy: not eating at Le Ching (I got MSG overdose the last time I ate there I got so nauseous), Tropic Thunder, and contests […]

If my Plueys could take me places, I would definitely go over to England. It’s always rainy and cold there even if it’s summer so these boots would definitely come in handy for everyday wear!
Normally, people do walk around from place to place there, so a bit of rain is definitely no problem for these fashionable yet comfortable footwear :)

BOSTON! (where it rains 9 months out of every year!!!) so i can wear and wear and wear my Plueys!!

I’d take it to Forks, Washington, USA. This is the setting of my favorite Twilight Series of books and it’s the place with the most rainfall in the US. I’d get the most use of my Plueys there.

I want to try and wear Plueys in Paris while singing at the top of my lungs and playing in the rain. Also bring it backpacking in Europe - just to find reasons to wear it! I wonder how Plueys will go with snowy places? *hihi*

i’d want to go to paris with my plueys. the first time i was there it was raining and i was wearing a pair of sneakers. i slipped in one of the subway stations and the coffee i had spilled on me. i bet my plueys won’t do that to me.:)

I would love to travel back in time to kindergarten where I played with friends, running in the rain with our raincoats on and just having fun in plueys. (wishful thinking) heehee.. Seriously, just to walk carefree like a child, again; doesn’t matter the destination as long as your having a good time. ;o)

I would take it back to the late 90’s when I was still in med school. I would use it to wade in the flood waters from the dorm to the school. No more damp shoes/feet and fear of leptospirosis. Ooh la lace would look great with our white uniforms.

I would like my Plueys to take me in Illinois where most of the time it is snowy and cold..I’m sure my feet will be comfortable all year round coz my beautiful Plueys won’t let them get frozen and wet :)

IF I HAVE A PAIR OF PLUEYS…

I will go bargain-hunting at Quiapo and Divisoria. Going there is such a trial during the rainy season because the streets are just plain dirty and wet. My simple shoes can’t stand beating from the wet, dirty pavement and the stains are just a trial to take off.
Plueys will give me a better experience exploring these places esp in finding that great bargain items. Plueys are made to stand the test of a major recessionista like i am!

I like one too, but couldn’t wear it here! It doesn’t rain in Cali! I miss the rain! I only experienced 5 rainy days since I got here! :(

I miss all the no classes days coz of the rain! :)

but i miss you more than the rain!

those boots are so cute! I wish I can pull them off but i can’t XD

October 11th, 2008

I’d have them take me to Calgary, Alberta in Canada, so I could visit with an old friend there that I miss so muuuuch. It wouldn’t hurt of course the the Plueys would protect my feet from the rain and snow while keeping me stylish as we adventure all over the place by walking and taking public transportation. The boots are also so bright and distinctive that I wouldn’t be able to help being confident and outgoing when meeting her friends. Who can be shy and hesitant when wearing boots like those?

If I had Pluey’s, I would wear them to school! They’re the most perfect accessory that can turn a normal tank-top-jeans combo from drab into FAB! Great for those hell weeks and reports where you spend the whole night cramming and just don’t have the time to whip up a fabulous outfit! :)

Plueys makes me think of a first love, exciting, colorful and sweet, I want Plueys to “take me BACK to the PAST “, so that I could feel that certain moment again, that moment I laid my eyes on the man I am loving and with right now.

If i can take the Plueys with me, i will surely take them to the school or the mall, whichever comes first, i will showcase their grandness there, why not in school/mall right? For sure, not only will i inspire others to wear Plueys, i will be keeping my feet warm and dry especially these months where we seem to have a very temperamental weather, and also avoid catching some rain-related diseases.

A Stylista’s Dream

England, Paris, Greece… dreams take me to
Stomping in rainy England, sashaying glam bags in Paris, laidback walk in Greece
Maybe South Africa… still stylista in gravel, fashioned for love of adventure
Romping the ramp shine with Plueys

Morning says hello
An awakening of desire to take my Plueys out
I know now what it means to fall head over the heels. I heart my Plueys!
Bring me to a place where fashion, comfort and eclectic “I” meet
A thinking cap? My dreaming boots
Transports me to everyday fashion bliss
Journey of a thousand miles begins w/ a Plueys step

My Plueys are part of my signature look, like Dorothy and her red slippers. I’d let them take me back to memories where I had or needed them.

My Plueys would take me to the “mudness” of the Ateneo Bonfire. Through Makati puddles to fetch everyone else at Amici (the guard laughed as I told him, “Boss, astig ka – may boots ka rin!”). Fete de la Musique at Eastwood, where the rain reduced me to hearing Cynthia Alexander, instead of seeing her rock out live.

Now that I have them, I can’t live without them. Plueys keep me covered. :)

Even though ive never been out of the country yet, id still choose my Plueys to first take me around the ISLANDS of the Philippines. It sounds just perfectly harmonious to me, dancing in colorful festivals, hiking on muddy mountains and beach hopping all in my Plueys. Not only will it be my chance to discover and explore the beauty of our own country but I’ll also get to WOW natives by embracing a pair of spanking wellies in a tropical realm such as ours, as a part of our new culture.

I’d wear Plueys in HongKong, where walking is the norm, and the cold bites my toes. Plueys would keep my toes warm while still being fashionable and easy to match with my outfits. I wish they made Plueys in toddler sizes. I’d like to have matching pairs with my daughter. :)

OMG, I love Plueys!

I will definitely go to Manhattan, NY donning my Plueys pair. I just know I’ll stand out above the sea of people wearing black and leather. Who knows, women might just check me like they do Carrie. :)

PARIS! In a nutshell, Paris excels in two distinguished areas: Haute Couture & Haute Cuisine. FASHION & FOOD are two things that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE! Paris is considered by many as the epitome of all things chic & glamorous. I’ve never been there but I love reading & learning about this breathtaking city- the fashion, food, tourist spots & the people! I’ll mount the Eiffel Tower, cruise along the Seine, stroll along Champs Elysees, dine at the quintessential French cafes and just savor the wonderful City of Lights being comfy & stylish in Plueys! Joie de vivre!

NY, definitely. Traipse the puddles across Manhattan or Queens! :)

I’d bring my Plueys to the rainiest country and according to Wiki it would be Nicaragua!
I can wear my plueys all day, every day!

“If your Plueys could take you places,
where would you go and why?”

Chicago! The last time I was there (about five years ago) the snow soaked my shoes wet and I felt so uncomfortable :( I’m going there again this December and I’m sure a pair of Plueys will save me from that uncomfy wet feeling!

October 20th, 2008

If there’s any place where I’d wear my Plueys, it would be in the office where I used to work. Since it’s a creative-fashion-related industry, it’s the perfect staple to stay fasyon on a rainy day.

Prague. With its exploding colors, gold-tipped spires, red roofs and picturesque baroque façade!

Rainfall there is spread evenly throughout the year so I can wear Plueys all year round! The weather is also quite unpredictable, even summer could feature short, heavy downpours so wellies could always come in handy!

The sun may be gone, skies may turn grey and rain may pour but if I have eye-catching Plueys with me to stroll along the cobblestone streets of the old town, I can enjoy Prague at its best, celebrate the rain and turn a gloomy day into a fun adventure!
