Spend vs. Save: lip balm & gloss hybrids

Posted on August 19th, 2008 in makeup, spend vs. save

SPEND: Kiehl’s Lip Balm SPF15 HUE NO. 30G = approx. Php 450
SAVE: Nivea Lip Care Caregloss & Shine in RED = Php 150

Moisturizing power: Kiehl’s seems to act faster
Staying power: equal (on me at least)
Shimmer content: Nivea’s got tad bit more vs. Kiehl’s. It’s very, very fine though so it’s barely noticeable esp. when applied.

    (Actually, it’s the only kind of makeup I use because I can’t do makeup to save my life. Also, bah I miss longer hair.)

    Oh I have that too! I like it more than this variant actually but I’ve yet to find an exact high end counterpart to feature it with heehee

    @khymm
    It’s well, the next best thing ;)

  5. Yay there’s a red Nivea caregloss finally available! I’ve also been a fan of the bronze-y one before, until I discovered Victoria Secret’s Beauty Rush glossies!! They’re super-addicting cuz of their yummiest flavors and amazingly long-lasting power.I’ve tried Grapesicle, and now am using Slice of Heaven (vanilla-caramel flavor, iridescent pale pink color). Try it too! :-D
