Product: Max Factor Miracle Touch Liquid Illusion Foundation

What It Is: An ultra light weight foundation formula that goes from solid (on pot) to liquid (on face) hence removes the need to apply concealer. The result is supposed to be “flawless, fresh and incredibly smooth complexion that glows with radiance”.

Wallet Damage:Php 895 for 11.5g

The Swiper’s Verdict: B

For some reason, I was feeling rather adventurous hence tried a non-mineral foundation. I’ve already checked this foundation out wayyy before the girls enabled me. I thought that the touch feel is nice but it’s got this really fine shimmer that acts as an imperfection “diffuser”. I didn’t get it initially because of the latter reason but the girls are well, really good in enabling.

Roughly the equivalent of MAC NC40 and Monave Canela

The SAs recommend using either a sponge or the fingertips to apply the foundation. Post skin priming, I use a flat top synthetic brush to apply the product in downward strokes instead since I find it unsanitary to use a sponge. Using a brush also allows me to buff the product on my skin, producing this airbrush effect. The product indeed delivers a smooth and photogenic liquid illusion. If your eyebags can be easily concealed by just mineral concealer, you can afford to skip that too.

Am giving this a B rating because of the overall finish and staying power. Au contraire to the ad claim saying you can afford to skip finishing powder, you do need to set this lightly with a very fine finishing powder for a flawless, natural look. Omitting this step will cause the product to fade (for dry skin) or slide off your face (for oily skin).

i may have to revisit this foundation again with your review and give it another chance. :) but i want a deep facial after. since MMU, i feel like using traditional foundation doesn’t leave my skin even after i remove it. :)
