When JanSport and Bratpack invited me to this event at Mag:Net Bonifacio High Street a couple of weeks back that’s all about individuality, Indie art, and music, I almost asked Twin not to go to school just to be my date (hahaha bad sister!). So why Twin? Because IMHO Twin is the best person that houses all elements mentioned above oh so naturally:

Twin as Kill The Rat’s vocalist

His first gig at Gweilos Eastwood + my 23rd birthday celebration
Twin’s body art/tats (all designed by him):

The Chardness

Crosses

Mama lurve

The Trinity

His first ambigram: LOVE and (wait lemme ask him…I forgot!
)

Half of the twin tats: PEONY
The other half of the twin tats is my sakura:

His last tat (he got it just last May) nearly gave Mother Goose a heart attack:

Our surname on his left forearm ambigramized
He’s got another tat that runs across his stomach that I missed to take a photo of.
The event, appropriately titled “Music, Tats and Flowers”, was definitely a feast for both the eyes and the ears. The artists from different disciplines were just oozing with pure talent!

In celebration of JanSport’s 40 year old influence, they are launching the Graphic Remix line of bags that’s inspired by the Filipino Indie community. Pieces from this line are expected to be “quirky and anti-conformist designs like graffiti, doodles, pop art and calligraphy”. Per Clytie Choa, Brand Manager for Jansport:
For us a bag is more than just for carrying your stuff around, but as a practical and personal billboard of expression that’s why we came up with the concept of the Graphic Remix line individually designed by the country’s best graphic designers
Having come from a subculture as well, JanSport understands the importance of recognizing and nurturing an emerging cultural phenomenon like the Indie community with products like the Graphic Remix bags and events like Music, Tats and Flowers that address the specific needs and lifestyle of this niche community
WOOOT! Bag + Art? Sounds like am off to the mall in a bit to go bag shopping!
Bratpack has branches at Robinsons Place Manila, Robinsons Galleria, SM Cagayan de Oro, SM Davao, SM The Block, SM Pampanga, SM Southmall and Ayala Cebu and another branch soon to open at Greenbelt 5.

Have. To. Get. A. Tattoo. Soon. That surname tat is the shiz!
Love yer makeup here!
Great eye look! Love it, and love your tats too. The tattoo needle, though… that looks a little scary.
