Product: Neutrogena Deep Clean Energizing Foaming Cleanser
What It Is: A facial wash in the form of a “cream foam with (a) refreshing scent (that) deeply cleanses for fresh, energized skin”
Wallet Damage: Php 190
The Swiper’s Verdict: C.
I chanced on this product at SM Megamall after a longggg (read: 14 hours) night shift . I was looking for my HG cooling scrub, Mandom, but saw this first. I thought I’d try it out for a change.
After a couple of product shots, I ran to the sink and washed my face away. There’s something not written in the tube: microbeads. The microbeads are fine, similar to Clean and Clear’s (what do you call that chubby light blue tube) but slightly bigger. The scent is very Neutrogena, which borders between soap and detergent.
Rinse. Rinse. Rinse.
I pat on some tissue (please quit WIPING your face with a towel after washing!) and felt my face with the back of my hand. My skin feels terribly dry. As in tight, paper thin dry that it tingles and hurts (you know what I mean, right?). I quickly slapped on some Cetaphil moisturizer and slept. Ten hours later, I got a huge zit on my forehead. This sort of tells me that the cleanser didn’t get the grime off my face quite well. ![]()
