Fragrance picks for Mum from Mary Kay
Am hoping that by now, you’ve all got Mum a little something for Moms Day on Sunday. If you haven’t and you’re totally clueless what to get, then you’re in luck! I bumped into MMU convert-slash-Mary Kay consultant Candy a couple of weeks back in a bazaar and was able to bag home a handful of EDTs, lotions, and the whole kikay shebangs. Here are my thoughts and suggestions that might just make it in time for Moms Day:
Bella Belara™ Eau de Parfum
Bella Belara™ is more than a fragrance – it’s a beautiful feeling. The exuberant floral fruity perfume captivates immediately. The senses are first treated to a delectable medley of apricot and red nectarine. At the heart of this women’s perfume, dew-covered rose petals and Moroccan jasmine unfold, while a delightful mix of creamy blonde woods and cool moss linger.
This is THE fragrance for the young and hip mom. It smells really crisp and cool, perfect for the energetic lady. Jasmine fans will definitely love this! It sprays on sharp but softens up to a very feminine scent after about 5 minutes.
Affection® Eau de Parfum
Affection® Eau de Parfum is a modern oriental chypre that awakens the senses with sparkling pink peppercorn. At its heart is the surprising sweetness of Chinese osmanthus and white peony. *sniff* Chance by Chanel is that you?!?! This smells very much like said expensivo perfume (even the strong notes) and will definitely fit the mom who just got promoted from partner to senior partner.
Journey® Eau de Parfum
A light, translucent blend of sheer, floral notes. Beautiful top notes like ice mint, watercress and water lily are layered above wild freesia, apricot musk and beachwood accents.
Translucent, being a keyword above, describes this fragrance best. I’d wear this to a brunch date or a good round of window shopping on a Saturday noon. It’s very light; I think one can even get away saying it’s her natural scent.
Belara® Eau de Parfum
A perfectly balanced, sheer fragrance that fits the perfectly balanced woman. Top notes like San Joaquin fig, wild bilberry and opal lotus flower are perfectly accented by wild Southern Indian tuberose, milky sandalwood and cotton musk.
Warm yet soapy clean. Cold summer nights. Sexy eh? That’s exactly what this scent’s all about. Sexy without trying at all.
Velocity® Eau de Parfum
Velocity® fragrance bursts onto the scene with something you won’t find in any other fragrance – a top note of rare banana flower. Couple that with tart mangosteen and dashing clementine, and you have an exhilarating, euphoric, fruity floral. It comes in a wild spray bottle that will turn your world upside down.
YUM YUM YUM! This does smell like bananas! Think banana with a hit of pepper. Does that translate to delish-hawt? ABSOLUTELY!
