Greetings from Mount Daguldul…

and La Luz beach!

Of all places, Charm’s been to the mountains and the beaches of San Juan, Batangas. Yes, you read that right! She went on a hiking and beach trip! Sometime last week, I was told that I will be joining a group of 5 bloggers on a hiking trip to road test Columbia Sportswear’s hiking gear (how can you say no to that!). Checkout the stuff I handpicked last Thursday at the Gateway branch:

Smile for me Charm!

Geared with my Omni-Dry® Highland S/S Tee, Omni-Dry® Silver Ridge™ III Capri, Columbia Graffiti Camo Low Cut™ socks, Black Rock™ II shoes, and beanie. I initially got the Day Off Booney but Jayvee and I swapped because this looked better on me! LOL

In the same clothes above plus a Colter Bay Hoodie and a Wallowa™ Pack.

Three reasons why I LOVE the stuff I got from Columbia Sportswear:

  • The Omni-Dry® pieces I got dried too fast
IMHO, it dries faster than my Nike Sphere tops and shorts (which I used a lot when I was active playing badminton). On both going up and down, we got drenched by the rain and I was amazed how quick it dried after the rain stopped (top about 3 minutes, bottoms about 10 minutes).
  • Thanks to their Omni-Shade technology, I didn’t burn even a single bit!

  • While I kept the exposed parts of my body protected by Hawaiian Tropic’s SPF 50 sunblock, I didn’t worry about getting those nasty (shirt) tan lines nor getting burned because my gear’s got UPF 30. Sweet! ;)

  • NOTHING = how my clothes smelled like after drying
It’s just unbelievable how even our socks didn’t smell like shoes or feet as well (all five bloggers agree)! How on Earth did that happen!??! 8O

While I wouldn’t be hiking again anytime soon, I cannot wait for the next pay day to grab another capri or so for my city trekking. Columbia Sportswear’s goodies are just too good to resist! :)
