It’s that time of the year, ladies and gents! The ramps were once again set up at the Rigodon Ballroom of the Manila Peninsula where hundreds of Pinoy designer fans rounded up for the country’s most prestigious series of fashion shows, the Samsung Metrowear. For the uninitiated, Samsung Metrowear has been around for the past five years but it was only in 2006 when they broke the event down to a series of shows. Tonight’s spotlight is on the Young Designers Guild (YDG) where eight promising members’ (Brian Leyva, Ciara Marasigan-Serumgard, Ferdi Abuel, John Herrera, Louis Claparols, Mitzi Quiledrino-Bustos, Patty Eustaquio, and Reian Mata) works were showcased.

Tonight’s fashion show will be followed by the Randy Ortiz Gala in June, Cebu Metrowear in August, Holiday Collections by the FDCP designers in September, and will be capped off by a grand Gala in November.
