What’s my skin wearing? Nothing. I woke up really late (yes too late to even wear SPF) and forgot my make-up kit (Thank you Dr. Reyes for my new skin care program! heeheehee).

Oh I have a blemish somewhere on my right cheek. Thanks to my unkempt hair, you guys don’t see it. LOL

Hello candz! I go to these dermatologists:

1. Dr. Rose Gatmaytan
–> She’s been my dermatologist since 2nd year high school. She’s got quite a heavy hand (don’t tell me I didn’t warn you lol) but she never scarred me nor my mom and aunts. Cleanses very thoroughly and will not ask you to buy meds you do not need. Very pretty too–looks like Ina Raymundo hehe

Clinic:
CaraDERMe CLINIC
3rd floor EUROCREST Building
#126 Jupiter Street, Bel-Air Village II, Makati City
899-9677
Mon-Sat 10:00am - 6:00 pm, lunchbreak 12:00 noon to 1:00pm

2. Dr. Teresita P. Mendoza - Reyes M.D. F.P.D.S; F.P.A.C.S
Fellow: Phil. Dermatology Society, Phil. Association of Cutareous Surgery. Diplomate: Phil. Board of Dermatology
–> Very light hands but gets the job done. Like Dr. Gatmaytan, she won’t insist products you don’t need. I only use 5 skin care prods right now: soap, toner, tretinoin, sunblock, and something for my blemishes.

Clinics (please call for sched):
San Antonio Plaza Arcade, Forbes Park, Makati City 810 1685
DLS-STI Megaclinic, SM MegaMall, Pasig City 6673600 to 01
San Juan De Dios Hospital, Pasay City 832 0485

Hope this helps! :)

Hi Phoebe, I found your website today and just wanted to tell you that I love it!

I am a Filipina living in the deep freeze of the Midwest (we have a snow storm due this afternoon). I lived in California for a number of years where there are lots of Asians. Here in Madison, there are very few.. sometimes I look at myself in the mirror and am surprised in remembering that I am Asian! I look at white people all the time that I forget what I look like!
Anyway, it wasn’t till this last trip home that I realized that there are a few things style and make-up-wise that don’t translate over (white–asian). You can say that I’ve been deprived of Asian/Filipino style for so long that I’m craving so much of it right now. My deepest regret is not buying Filipino fashion magazines while I was there. I’m having my grandmother send me some from Los Angeles.

I’m in the process of thoroughly reading your ENTIRE site! Visit my website too, I hope we can exchange some wisdom and wit :)
