On de-puffing and un-lining (part 2) | SwipeSomeGloss

Here goes the second installment of my massive eye creams, gels, and treatments review. Again, keep in mind the following:

  • Do not expect too much from your little hope in a jar (or tube for that matter). Some might see visible results while some won’t. What’s important is that you follow the instructions explicitly placed on the product label. Give it at least 3-4 weeks on continuous use unless otherwise specified by the manufacturer.
  • These reviews are based on my own experience. I’ve posted photos in the past on how my eye area looks like with and without makeup. I’ve abused my body a lot lately though by not getting enough sleep and this is what am dealing with:

Yes, I go out make-up free too and no, am not naked here (was wearing a tube LOL)

That said, let’s move on. :)

Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream

Bobbi Brown Must-Have. Bobbi uses this ultra-gentle moisturizer as the first step to flawless application of her Creamy Concealer Kit, the secret to the beauty universe. Hydrating Eye Cream is formulated for the delicate skin around the eye. Minimizes the look of fine, dry lines. Absorbs quickly to prepare skin for easy and smooth concealer application. Dermatologist and Ophthalmologist tested.

I got a sample of this baby from a purchase in GirlTalk (I just forgot from whom) and I must say it is indeed hydrating! While the rest of my face is like an oil mine, my eye area can get really dry at times. This feels nothing like cream as it’s very light and I can guarantee that there’s absolutely zero tugging or pressure when you pat this on. I bought a full jar after I’ve exhausted my sample and I did see a bit of improvement with my lines (they seemed to look finer over a month). I could’ve finished the entire jar if it didn’t mysteriously walk out of my room (hmmmm).

AVON Advanced Eye Perfector
Eliminates undereye puffiness; wakes up weary eyes.

I have no idea how this product does it but it does remove the puffiness almost instantly! If puffiness is my only problem, this would’ve been my HG eye cream as it does the job and is dirt cheap (I got mine for $10 several months ago)!

The Body Shop Vitamin E Eye Cream
A moisturizing eye cream that helps protect the delicate skin around the eye area, reducing the appearance of fine lines, puffiness, and dark circles, leaving skin feeling soft and smooth. Contains moisturizing shea butter and rose hip oil.

I used to use this one as a night eye cream as it causes cream-concealer caking when applied under make-up. Fine lines are reduced after 3 weeks but it did not help diminish my puffiness and dark circles.

I have 5 or 6 more products to feature in the next few days so hang in there! :)

I’m actually looking into getting that vit. E from The Body Shop but seeing that you say it won’t make the puffiness go away then I’d better consider the one from Avon. BUT I’ll wait for more product reviews before I make a final decision. ;)
