Last Sunday was coincidentally the 2nd day of the La Vista Santa’s Christmas Bazaar and the Grand Mineral Weekend, Part Two. I was obviously elsewhere on its first installment hence was only present day after.

I rarely do my own nails for the simple reason that am not very good at it.
I booked Nail Spa last Wednesday morning but out of fortuitous events, I missed it. My nails were looking really ratty already and I couldn’t afford to go out without a temporary fix reason why I stopped by The Face Shop (last Wednesday afternoon) for some serious nail 911 stuff:

Nail Nutrition Coat. Sweet Almond Oil Cuticle and Nail Balm. Nail Top Coat.

PK 106. PK 101. RD 303.
For some reason, I ended up going out with eyes looking eggplant toned

It was a VERY HAWT & HUMID day here in MNL hence I ended up wearing liners alone. I used the following:
FOUNDATION: Monave Loose Mineral Foundation in CANELA (I darkened after the carnival day *yay*)
SETTING POWDER: Monave ANGEL + a dash of silica powder
LINER: violet: an NYX Ultra Pearl e/s (decanted and forgot the shade) , green: Valerie Beauty in LUCKY JADE
MASCARA: MAC Splashproof Lash in BLACKSPLASH
BROWS: none…I forgot! ![]()
Pre-carnival (yes, as in bumper cars and carousels) last weekend, I went to my dermatologist since the holiday stress has finally caught up on my skin (and eyes to be more specific). The non-stop parties and meet-ups drowned me with both booze and caffeine respectively which in turn caused my skin to be so dehydrated and blemished (am not in any way exaggerating this). This in turn caused me to bathe in moisturizers (in gel form of course since am combo to oily skinned) and hide my eyes in my trusty sunnies all day.

me on full “holiday karma” glory
In fairness though, my hair’s still looking (and acting) pretty fine:

how I wish my hair will behave like this 24/7!
Since am looking like a wreck, might I show you my mom instead who looks the exact opposite??

mom and me
(damn i look like a slob next to her!)

one more with my dad
To break down, I used the following:
FOUNDATION: Monave Loose Mineral Concealer-Foundation in SATURNINA
SETTING POWDER: Monave ANGEL
CREASE COLOR: BE Glimmer in DESIRE
LINER: MAD Minerals MPM in BLACK CHERRY
MASCARA: MAC Splashproof Lash in BLACKSPLASH
CHEEKS: Valerie Beauty blush in MALIBU
BROWS: TFS Automatic eye brow pencil in BROWN
I asked my mom what she used and she said:
FOUNDATION: Monave Loose Mineral Foundation in SATURNINA + SANDRA
SETTING POWDER: Monave ANGEL
CREASE COLOR: Monave SEMI-MATTE BEIGE
BROWS: TFS Automatic eye brow pencil in BROWN
LIPS: MAC l/s in COSMO (now I know why I cannot find my tube! LOL)
Going back to my trip to the derma, she asked me to stop all my skin care products (including SPF since my skin’s highly sensitized right now) for two weeks. She asked me to grab the following from the pharmacy:

my 911 routine
Since sophomore high school, breaking out has always been my problem. My derma and I have tried so many combos and it was only until late 2005 were we able to try on the products above (the toner was only added later). My skin has drastically improved since the 911 team above was introduced to my skin. I have to toggle it with other derma stuff every 3 months though so that my skin won’t be “immuned.”
Apart from the products above, I also got myself another Fasio mascara. Fasio mascaras are AMAZING am telling you! Like Val, who just posted her review, am always asked if am wearing falsies everytime I wear Fasio mascaras. Call me lucky once again as I get to work with both the 3D Air Tech and the Hyper-stay formulas. Both do not give me racoon eyes and gives gorg volume and definition!

I’ll post an EOTD soon with me wearing this. There’s also a plum and shimmery brown variant, by the way.
So there goes a run down on how I spent my Saturday: carnival’in and shopping more skin care and make up!

imagine my babies saying “TATAAAA”
